Medal of Honor



Sergeant 1st Class Leroy Petry will be soon become the second living person to receive Medal of Honor.  Army Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta, became the first living person last fall to receive the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War. Sergeant 1st Class Leroy Petry has shown America the risk that are involved in fight against terrorism. Not only that, Sergeant 1st Class Leroy Petry has shown America what it truly means to have bravery! Words cannot express how thankful I am to soldiers like Sergeant 1st Class Leroy Petry, thank you for giving your all and fighting for our freedom. God Bless you!

Suicide Prevention


Know a soldier that is in need of help? 1-888-HLP-4-VET (1-888-457-4838) is an Oregon hotline for veterans that are having problems with depression, drug usage, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), or any other problem that they are facing. Along with this hotline soldiers and veterans can also download a new app that can help them understand their symptoms and potentially make sense of what they are going through. Remember this app is not to replace treatment, however, it can be used along side treatment. Follow the link below to find out more about the PTSD app.
